Which email should I use?
Safety, scams, stolen bikes, prohibited items
Report a listing, a message, a user, or ask for help if you think you have been targeted by a scam. If a bike is confirmed stolen, tell us here so we can suspend the account and preserve the evidence.
Data, GDPR, account deletion
Data export requests, account deletion questions, corrections to your personal information, or complaints about how we handle your data. Most of this can be self-served from Settings → Data & privacy.
Legal notices, IP takedowns, formal complaints
Copyright and trademark takedowns, court orders, requests from law enforcement, and formal legal correspondence. Please include reference numbers and jurisdiction.
Selling, listings, trader applications
Questions about listings, why a listing was removed, or how to apply as an approved trader. For a listing that was removed, include the listing ID.
Response times
- Safety and stolen bike reports: aim for same working day, always within 48 hours.
- Data and privacy requests: acknowledged within 72 hours, resolved within one calendar month as required by UK GDPR.
- Everything else: within 5 working days.
If you have not heard back after a working week, feel free to nudge us. It probably means the first message went to spam.
What we cannot help with
- Refund requests on bikes you bought from another user. Prerode is a classifieds site. Payment and the sale contract are between you and the other rider directly, so recovery goes through your bank (chargeback), your card provider (Section 75), or the small-claims court.
- Valuing a bike for you. We can point you at completed listings you can compare against, but we do not give official valuations.
- Technical questions about a bike (fit, geometry, servicing). Ask the community, your local bike shop, or the manufacturer.
